About

Hi, I’m Colleen, Professional Organizer, fiber artist, and your guide to life’s cluttered seasons

With over 20 years of hands-on experience, I help homeowners simplify paper systems, kitchens, closets, and transitions, one thoughtful step at a time.

My story

Gardening and knitting have taught me a lot about the power of small steps. A single handknit sock takes 10,000 to 15,000 individual stitches. Sugar peas planted in the spring need several weeks before I can harvest. Progress accumulates and builds over time.

When I’m working one-on-one with a client, we often immerse ourselves for hours. It’s efficient, personal, and transformative. But not everyone wants or needs to work with a professional.

This is why I started Learn to Organize. Here you can make steady progress at your own pace, letting those small gains stack up like stitches.

While I’m doing my own home maintenance tasks, I usually listen to podcasts. Lately my favorites have been History of English and Revolutions. I also listen to business podcasts like Unmistakable Creative.

And at the end of the day, I look forward to a cup of Assam tea. I hope you build small rituals of care into your organizing work too.

Why
Learn to Organize
is different

You don’t need a dramatic before and after
You need soil, sunlight, and steady tending

Built from real client work

  • These tools were created to solve real problems in real homes.
  • Each worksheet evolved through hands-on use before earning its place here.

Designed for use, not display

  • Progress matters more than perfection.
  • Write in the margins. Cross things out. Make it yours.

No fluff

  • The Reset series offers focused tools for tightening what’s mostly working.
  • The Foundation series provides deeper structure and guidance for lasting change.

If this sounds familiar, you’re in the right place

  • Food quietly expiring in the back of the fridge
  • Closets full but nothing easy to wear
  • Paper piles that feel heavier than they should
  • A transition that changed more than you expected

Make room for what matters

Organizing isn’t the goal. It’s the support system.
When your systems work, your time and attention are freed for the things you actually care about.
