About

Hi, I’m Colleen, Professional Organizer, fiber artist, and your guide to a simpler life

With two decades of hands-on experience and a sheep’s worth of practical wisdom, I help you tackle what feels overwhelming, from paper piles to pantry chaos, one smart step at a time.

My story

“I know how much mental weight our physical clutter can carry. That’s why everything I create is practical, doable, and respectful of where you’re starting.”

Gardening and knitting have taught me a lot about the importance of small steps. A single handknit sock takes about 10,000 to 15,000 individual stitches. Sugar peas planted in the spring need over a month before I can harvest. Each step, no matter how tiny, moves us forward.

When I’m working with a client, we immerse ourselves in the process of organizing for hours. It’s the most efficient way to transform a space. But not everyone has the time, money, patience, or need to work one-on-one with a professional.

This is why I started Learn to Organize. Here you can nibble at your project, letting those small gains stack up like stitches.

While I’m doing my own home maintenance tasks, I usually listen to podcasts. Lately my favorites have been History of English and Revolutions. I also listen to business podcasts like Unmistakable Creative.

At the end of my day, I appreciate a good cup of Assam tea. At the end of your organizing day, I hope you treat yourself as well.
